At Carlsberg, we're constantly trying to reduce the strain on the environment. So we thought - can we make our reusable beer bottles last longer?

Probably.

New reality = Bottle recyclability x 2.

When our reusable beer bottles are handled after multiple uses, they often get scuffed and scratched.
To reduce scruffing and scratching, we've created a new, more durable glass bottle coating. It reduces the scuffing considerably, resulting in bottles that look premium for twice as long.

Here's how it works:

Drink up
Collect
Clean and remove label
Label up and refill
Distribute
Repeat

We've already started using the technology in Malaysia and Singapore, and we're looking into ways of implementing the new coating in the rest of the world. Stay tuned.
